"Hell is other people"

Hoax of the Century

We’ve witnessed many US government hoaxes and crises these past many years…

  • “Fight ’em over there so we don’t have to fight ’em here.”
  • Destroying our economy and violating our rights in the name of fighting a virus that killed 95% less people than the Spanish flu
  • Russia changed the outcome of the 2016 election
  • “Saving” democracy by trampling Constitutional rights
  • Domestic terrorism
  • The Jan 6 “insurrection”
  • The Steele Dossier

Jacob Siegel at Tablet Magazine has done this nation and the world an important service by writing an excellent compendium of recent events.

Power and Control

I also recommend his discussion with Nick Gillespie on the Reason Interview podcast. Siegal and Gillespie agree that censorship is not the ultimate aim; it is just one of the means to control information and shape our view of reality: A Global Info Ops without end.

Just as the Cold War restructured our society, so has the war on terror. Once government builds an apparatus, it cannot let it go. The GWOT Panopticon has been repurposed. Government has brought the war on terror home.
