Politicians like Ocasio-Cortez who threaten the press and suffer insatiable urges to control information, dis-, mis- or otherwise, are a danger to our democracy.

We have very real issues with what is permissible on air. And we saw that with January six, and we saw that in the lead up to January 6th and how we navigate questions not just of freedom of speech, but also accountability for incitement of violence. This is the problem with government having too much power: It feeds an insatiable hunger for even more power, leading lawmakers and bureaucrats into dangerous delusions that they can “keep us safe,” “control information” and “regulate the internet.” If they just has a big enough hammer…
