Voters Reject GOP

The Republican Party lost me a long time ago. I continue to reject the Democrat Party because they are just as horrible and crazy in their uniquely extreme Democrat way.

Mark Thiessan has the best take on the GOP self-induced collapse

“There’s a broader issue, which is, think about this. We had the worst inflation in four decades, the worst collapse in real wages in 40 years, the worst crime wave since the 1990s, the worst border crisis in U.S. History. We have Joe Biden, who is the least popular president since Harry Truman – since presidential polling happened – and there wasn’t a red wave.”

“That is a searing indictment of the Republican Party,” he said. “That is a searing indictment of the message that we have been sending to the voters. They’ve looked at all of that, and looked at Republican alternative and said no thanks. That is–the Republican party needs to do a really deep introspection look in the mirror right now because this is an absolute disaster for the Republican Party and we need to turn back.”

Democrats = Liberty

GOP = Paul Pelosi Gay Jokes

I’m interested in the in-depth analysis once the smart people crunch the numbers. I said at the time that the GOP’s silence on Roe was stupid. They let the Democrats seize the liberty banner from them, and Democrats ran with it while Republicans made jokes about an 82 year old man being attacked with a hammer in his home.

I don’t care where you stand politically, you’ve gotta laugh at the stinking pile of failure the GOP has become, and congratulate the Democrats on masterfully playing a horrible hand.

Both parties will learn the wrong lessons from these results and amp up the cray-cray going into Election 2024, which will kick off en serio as soon as the 2022 results are final.

We’re looking at two years of gridlock, squabbling, both sides screaming through their preferred propaganda horns, and competing House and Senate hearings on whatever each side want to demonize the other with. 2024 Senate races will be more challenging for Democrats, and presidential nominations for both parties will be messy.

My advice? Don’t hang your happiness on political outcomes.
